Accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), the department boasts a team of experienced and dynamic faculty members committed to imparting technical knowledge and skills. It is equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories, advanced simulation software, and modern equipment to support hands-on learning and research.

The dedication of our faculty and the keen interest shown by our students have resulted in a commendable academic record, with university ranks secured every year. Notably, GOLD MEDALS were awarded to students of the B.E. (ECE) batch of 2007–2011 and 2015–2019; the M.E. (Computer and Communication) batches of 2007–2009, 2008–2010, and 2009–2011; and the M.E. (Embedded System Technologies) batch of 2009–2011. We take pride in the fact that 80–90% of our students are placed even before graduation, and the remaining secure placements immediately after completing their degree.

The department actively fosters a strong culture of research and innovation, encouraging both faculty and students to pursue ideas that create meaningful societal impact. Over the years, it has secured research and event funding exceeding ₹2 crores from prestigious organizations including AICTE, DST, CSIR, and BRNS. In addition, the department has received $25,000 in funding from IEEE in support of various academic and technical initiatives, including collaborative events and projects under the Special Interest Group on Humanitarian Technology (SIGHT).

To nurture professional responsibility and leadership, and to prepare students for diverse career paths in industry, research organizations, and national laboratories, the department complements the academic curriculum with a wide range of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.

The department provides further value addition through dedicated training providers for CISCO Networking and Red Hat Linux certification, enhancing students’ technical skills and employability. To strengthen industry-academia collaboration, industry-linked courses in association with HCL, WIPRO, and L&T have been introduced.

The dedicated mentoring and continuous motivation by the faculty have played a key role in driving students toward excellence. As a result, our students have consistently excelled in both co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, actively participating and securing top positions in various National and International Level Hackathons, where they effectively demonstrate their technical capabilities and innovative thinking.
