1.DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT OF AN IOT BASED SMART VENTILATOR

Coronavirus (COVID-19) is a deadly infectious virus that enters in to the lungs, making it harder to breathe, and causing the body’s oxygen levels to drop. In the event of difficulty in breathing, ventilators are generally used to push air, with increased levels of oxygen, into the lungs. There are several problems such as availability, cost-effectiveness, more workforce to monitor and manage. As a result, there is a push from Make-in-India for ventilators. In this scenario, it was proposed to develop a low-cost smart ventilator using IoT to improve better monitoring, management, reduce the workforce and social distancing of people. Considering the present need of large number of ventilators and the problems associated with the current type of ventilators, it is proposed to develop a smart ventilator which is IoT based enabling remote monitoring.

Advantages of Smart ventilators :

To support breathing ailments caused to the patients.

  • Remote monitoring.
  • Real-time sensor data logging.
  • Avoids patient from suffocation.
  • Pressure flow control mechanism.
  • Avoids air-borne transmission.
  • Less requirement of staff nurses/doctors for continuous monitoring.

The current diagnostic methods used for CoVID-19 detection such as RT-PCR requires high sterile environment, more technically skilled persons and it takes long time for producing the results. The data cannot be stored automatically as well, which is extremely difficult to keep a track of all the information. The current test kits do not produce quick and accurate results. There are many fake products in the market too which is another case of virus spreading further rapidly. Also, during any epidemic or pandemic related to the spread of virus, it becomes extremely difficult for the health workers to carry multiple equipment such as rapid virus test kits, IR thermometers and pulse oximeters. There is a pressing need for portable single equipment which can record all the patient data automatically.

Here we integrate virus test kit, IR thermometer and pulse oximeter using the latest IoT technology, cloud technology and Web/Mobile application. Our product mainly focuses on the integration of all the sensors and producing the values in the same kit and all the data will be captured and stored in the cloud. The test kit includes sample pad, PR sensor, nitrocellulose membrane, absorption pad and infrared sensors. We use Surface Plasmon Resonance which increases the efficiency of antigen monitoring and helps in producing quick results in less than 15 minutes. The test results can be obtained precursor to the throat swab technique and the presence of antigen is detected quickly when compared to all available techniques that are used in hospitals currently.

Corona Virus (COVID 19) disease is an infectious disease that causes fluid to enter the lungs, making it harder to breathe and causing the body’s oxygen levels to drop. The Corona virus can enter our body through eyes, nose and mouth. Thereby it is strictly recommended to close our nose, mouth and eyes whenever stepping into public places. We are in a situation of buying of face protective mask, gloves etc. for our personal safety. Protective measures can be taken by wearing protective facemask. Facemask helps in preventing the entry of foreign particles into our body.
Our product is comfortable to wear, non-sticky to the skin and portable. This product can be used any time we want (reusable). It can be customized (for children or old people).Soft and Comfort used by all age of people. It is a facial Fit facemask that can be used for everyone. It has soft inner face-seal ring. It also provides secure face-fit by having a adjustable straps for a good fit. This mask is also a transparent one where communication is made easy for the people. There is a pressing need to protect the complete head and face. Especially for frontline healthcare workers & defense workers. Based on our research, polypropylene is a transparent thermoplastic that can protect from any hazards and allows individuals to see and interact safely with other individuals. We will reach out to many hospitals, police forces and grocery store shopkeepers and general public.

In the view of the rapid widespread of the COVID-19 pandemic, there is a need to focus on personal hygiene and community consciousness. Due to this, there is a high risk of the COVID virus transmitting through manual use of sanitizers in public places. The spread is primarily through droplets generated by coughing, sneezing or nasal discharge. For instance, when an infected person touches the manual sanitiser, there is a high probability of viruses being transmitted to other healthy individuals Hence personal hygiene and protection is paramount. This can be achieved by automating hand sanitizer (touch-free), where there would be no need of manual touch. Solution: Considering personal hygiene and protection, we propose an automatic solution using IoT technology to address the community problem. The automatic hand sanitizer works, using an ultrasonic sensor to check the presence of hands below the outlet of the sanitizer machine. It will continuously calculate the distance between the sanitizer outlet and itself and tells the Arduino to turn on the pump whenever the distance is less than 15cm to push the sanitizer out. It controls the Mini DC Submersible Pump detecting the movement of the hand with the help of an ultrasonic sensor and pumps the sanitizer, displaying “wash hands and be safe” through the LCD.

4.INFI COR X - AUTOMATIC TOUCH FREE HAND SANITIZER
COR X Analyzer is a COVID Analyzing system that helps in detecting and predicting COVID-19 with X-ray images. As you all know, COVID-19 or Corona Virus Disease 2019 originates from large family of coronaviruses like SARS MERS. It started at a small scale in the Wuhan province China and is now a global pandemic which plagues most part of the earth. Nearly 9.3M people worldwide are affected and most of the cases are not recorded as there is no efficient way or technology to identify the virus.

During these epidemic or pandemic related to virus outbreak, it is very important to look into patient X-ray report to confirm/re-confirm on the results. The COR X Analyzer is a tool that suffices the need of doctors in detecting corona cases. All the patient X-ray images will be analyzed automatically and help in detecting and predicting COVID-19. With a dataset of corona +ve and corona –ve X-ray images, a Keras deep learning model is trained and built to predict if a patient is affected by corona. Transfer learning techniques with VGG16 pre-trained model are used. The model generated proves to have high validation accuracy and low validation loss. Using Flask API, this model is deployed in a cloud platform for use by clinical doctors to help in diagnosis. Later, this application can be improved to analyze a batch of images at once. Also it can be used to detect other diseases like pneumonia, tuberculosis and other lung-related diseases.
