DEPARTMENT ACTIVITIES – 2019 – 2020.
The department of Electronics and Communication organized Alumni talk on “Future Skills for employment” from 27.05.2020 to 30.05.2020. The objective of this series is to bring insights and to showcase the available opportunities in market in core field like VLSI design, Embedded technologies, Agile techniques and data science to the students. This series was formally inaugurated by the Head of the department Dr .J. Raja.
Our alumni Mr. T. A. Bharathwaj (2004-2008 batch), Senior Technical Lead, HCL Technologies made his presence and delivered the talk on “Scope for Electronics –Idea to Chip design” on 27.05.2020.
The importance of Digital Industry was emphasized through the topic “Agile mindset-Evolution of digital industry” by Mr. E. Balaji, Systems Engineer, Infosys Limited on 28.05.2020.
The students were also given knowledge about the career opportunities in the Embedded systems by Mr. G. Mukesh, R&D developer, TCS pvt Ltd on 29.05.2020.
In future it is inevitable to deal with data and data science, the importance and opportunities in the field of Machine learning and data science was delivered by Mr.Arun Rajagopal (2007-2011 batch), Principal Data science, Affinity solutions, Newyork city, USA.
